For more information, please view our delivery policy.This high quality, ribbon hurdle fencing is made by our skilled weavers with willow grown on our Somerset farm.Panels are available in the following sizes;6ft (1.83 metres) wide by 6ft high (1.83 metres)6ft wide by 5ft high (1.52 metres)6ft wide by 4ft high (1.22 metres)6ft wide by 3ft high (0.91 metres)Woven willow fencingThese rustic willow panels are based on the fencing used to corral animals. Depending on the time of year, the panel will be made with green or brown barked willow. The bark is left on the willow rods to aid longevity. Treat annually with a 50/50 mixture of boiled linseed oil and turpentine and these willow panels should look good for many years.The beauty of willow hurdle panelsOur willow fencing provides beautiful screening and the weave makes a panel more resistant to wind damage than a traditional wooden one. The panels are made with a standard weave know as a 'slew' or 'ribbon' - hence the name. Only high quality, hand-graded willow rods are used. This helps to produce a neat weave. The uprights at the top and bottom of the panels can be trimmed to your desired length, if required, when fitting.Ribbon willow panels made to orderOur ribbon willow fencing is very popular, so panels are usually made to order. Please be aware of the current lead in times.The variety and colour of willow used in the weave will vary during the course of the year. If you have ordered ribbon panels from us before, or need a replacement, please let us know. Our weavers can then use the same (or similar) willow to provide the best match. A made to measure service is available.Please note:The woven section defines the height and width with vertical stakes adding an extra 6 inches at the top and bottom- these are for decorative purposes and can be trimmed if required.All measurements are approximate and, owing to the nature of this handcrafted product, may vary.Due to its natural construction, slight variations in colour, weave, and width may occur. Any unevenness in colour is caused by moisture in the wood and will even out as the wood weather naturally in your garden.Warping or bending may occur due to moisture retention. To straighten, lay the hurdles flat in your garden for a few days to allow them to dry and relax.Please get in touch with us if you have any questions regarding sizes.
