Funky Friends Lamkins the Keepsake Lamb Sewing Pattern Finished Size: 23cm (9 inches) from sitting to top of head! Funky Friends Lamkins the Keepsake Lamb is an adorable lamb with just the cutest bow! She is an unjointed, ‘sitting toy’d that has been designed with being a child’s bedtime buddy in mind but could also make a great gift for for expectant mums and big brothers and sisters. If you were to make a Keepsake toy, the spaces on her ears, face and legs would make for ideal placements for contrasting fabrics (or dates, logos & initals). Lamkins can be sewn with most fabrics but Funky Friends recommends stretchy fabrics for the body such as fleece (for extra snuggliness!), velour, chenille and flannelette ect. The full size paper pattern comes with an instruction booklet. In addition to this, Funky Friends also have tutorial videos to help guide you through your toy making journey. Materials you will need to make Funky Friends Lamkins the Keepsake Lamb:- Main Fabric – 35cm x 55cm wide (13¾inches x 22½ inches wide) Contrast Fabric – 20cm x 55cm wide (8inches x 22½ inches wide)* Inner ear Fabric – 10cm x 13cm wide (4 x 5 inches wide) Ribbon for Bow – 60cm (24 inch) 12mm Black Safety eyes Small amount of pink embroidery thread for the nose/mouth Sewing thread Toy Stuffing Iron-on light/medium weight interfacing (this is needed only if you are using thin or very stretchy fabrics or, if you are using a mix of different types of fabrics) Equipment you will need:- A sewing needle & pins Fabric scissors with a fine tip Paper scissors Fine tipped fabric pen or a pencil Craft Glue & firm card for the templates (cereal boxes are fine!) A stuffing tool, haemostats or a chopstick!
