Rosetta Heart Garland Angel Pattern from Country Folk by Brenda Walker The Rosetta Heart Garland Angel pattern from the Country Folk range makes an adorable angel rag doll and outfit, particularly suited to Christmas!  Created by the talented Brenda Walker, Rosetta stands 30cm (12″) tall.  The full size pattern to make this adorable rag doll also comes complete with patterns to make a dress, a jacket, wings and a garland of hearts.  Brenda also completes her patterns with easy to follow instructions and says “I design and create decorations for the home inspired by the Northamptonshire countryside”! Rosetta can be sewn by hand or by machine (but probably easier by machine!). Materials you will need: .    Fat Eight of calico (or Tilda/Moda skin coloured fabric) .    Fat Eighth of stripped fabric for the legs .    Fat Eighth of fabric for the dress .    12.5cm (5″) square floral fabric the applique hearts .    12.5cm (5″) square Fusible webbing .    15cm (6″) square natural white felt for hearts .    30cm (12″) square cream acrylic fleece or felt for the jacket .    20cm (8″) x 10cm (4″) 80/20 wadding for the wings .    20cm (8″) square fabric for the wings .    3 tiny buttons for the hearts .    2 x 10mm (3/8″) buttons to attach the arms .    23cm (9″) of 3mm cream satin cord for the garland .    23cm (9″) of ribbon for the hanger .    6.5m (7 yards) textured wool for the hair (this will vary depending on thickness) .    Stranded embroidery silks for the jacket, hearts and applique .    Polyfibre stuffing (250g will be plenty) .    Fine (01) black & red permanent fabric pens (for eyes and mouth) .    Powder blush and white acrylic paint for face (optional) Equipment you will need: .     A sewing needle .     Fabric scissors .     Paper scissors .     Tailor’s chalk, fabric pen or a pencil .     An iron (for the fusible webbing) Stitches used: .     Back stitch .     Ladder stitch   Skills needed:  To complete this project, the maker will need to be able: .     to hand sew or use a sewing machine   Like this:Like Loading...
